Dear Modearator,

PBS Dependent Extension : October 2015 and recieved 3 years extension till Oct'2018

Main Applicant: ILR Recieved October 2015 and subsequently got british citizenship in December 2016

Query :
(1) Is the PBS Dependent visa valid ? Or should I apply for FLR ?
- The only issue with FLR is the 5 years clock would be reset + waste of money

(2) My wife moved to tier 1 dependent category in August 2013 and prior to 2013 on different visa category T1 PSW and student but we were married and have proof that we lived together for Subsisting relationship. Does she qualify for ILR now or should I wait till Oct 2018 ?


Any help for above question would be much appreciated.

ILR was on basis of 5 years on Tier 1(G)

How long has spouse been living in the UK?
Since Sep 2009 but I arrived in UK in Nov 2010 so together since Nov 2010.

If you were granted ILR based on Tier 1 general, Let her be on PBS dependant.
Yes, She does qualify for ILR in Oct 2018. However, Please have a look at the GOV website for concrete details.

she can apply ilr in aug 2018.
however, with your british nationality, she can apply nationality a day later once she gets ilr.
