I would appreciate if someone could tell me the list of documents I need to provide with the SET (M) application (ILR Two year route for spouse).

How does your spouse qualify for ILR in 2 years? Did she submit her spouse settlement visa before July 9th 2012

Edit: According to your earlier posts your wife applied for FLR(M) in 2014 when you were granted ILR under long residence.

This would have re-set her immigration clock to zero, putting her on a new 5 year route to settlement (ILR) as advised by Amber in this thread:

When we applied for my spouse's FLR (M) nearly two years ago, we were given a letter stating that she can apply using SET (M) after two years from the FLR (M). This is why we will will not go with the 5 year route.

Does that explain it?

It doesn't explain their decision, but if you have it in writing then by all means go for it.

May be a boiler plate (standard) letter issued in error.

The letter was likely issued in error or contains the error regarding the 2 year route.

She applied for FLR(M) after April 2014, which means she has to complete 5 years residence on FLR(M) before qualifying for ILR.

I agree with noajthan and CR001.

If you really want to risk applying for your wife's ILR, I suggest that you submit a copy of the HO letter and hope that they will honour it.

What makes me think, I should apply under the two year route is two things:

Firstly, the letter which clearly states that she needs to complete only two years

Secondly, the length of the visa in the biometric card is only two years as opposed to two and half years. This makes me think that they are considering my spouse's on the two year route because they should have issued her with two and half years.

I think the second point makes the argument stronger?
