Not sure what you are talking about. There is an absence letter and there is a 'required for the foreseeable future' letter.

What does the guidance notes say?

As per the guidance i have to only submit 12 months payslips and personal bank statements but i also want to attach an employment letter from my company explaining my current role and salary.
Any format or template which you can share, thanks in anticipation.

It is not required as far as I am aware for Tier 1 General to ILR. It is required for Tier 2 General.

There is no 'one size fits all' template letter. Surely your HR department is able to produce a letter that states your employment circumstances
