ILR

Hi

I am on T2G visa and will be applying for ILR next year.

My first T2 visa was granted on 03/04/2013, although I entered UK on 17/04/2013. I am still confused about when I'll be eligible to apply for ILR? Will it be 17/04/2018 or 21/03/2018 (28 days before)?

One of my colleague recently got ILR and he was in the opinion that the day you will be applying for ILR, you should be in UK on that day 5 years back (!!!). Is it true at all. I could not find any evidence of that.

Also I was outside UK for 37 days at a stretch in the first year (2013-2014), 18 days of which were paid annual leave. Will that be counted as continuous period?

regards

28 days before 5th anniversary of initial grant of visa or entry.

Your colleague may be thinking of naturalisation.

You should be okay with absences, but require employers' letter explaining them.
245HF wrote:(h) The applicant must provide the specified documents in paragraph 245HH as evidence of the salary in (c)(ii)(2) or (3) above and the reasons for the absences set out in paragraph 245AAA.
