I came to The UK in 2007 and studies in the Uni for 3 years and married with EU nationality for around 2 years and divorced in 2016. So student visa from 2007 to 2010 and eu family residence from 2010 to now ( I lost my passport once so got more eu family residence). I have been studying and working full time now and stayed for 10 years now. Is it possible to apply for ILR visa or I need to apply for retained right of residence ? I am really desprate to get ILR than retained right visa as my ex doesnt want to provide anything for me. Please help me.

If you don't
qualify under
retained rights, then you won't qualify under
Long residence as well.
Moreover, if you have completed at least 5 years under the EEA regulations, then you may have automatically acquired
PR prior to your divorce. Else, after your divorce, as a student, you may need
CSIC.
You may as well apply for confirmation of
retained rights of residence or
PR, as appropriate, rather than ILR under Long residence.

Thanks for your reply. My case is unusual as I lost my passport in 2012 and applied for eu family residence visa so got another 5 years which expires in Sep 2017. But I seprated in 2012 and got final divorce in 2016. The thing is my ex doesnt want to contact me and help me. We lost contact. I only can tell where he was working when we divorced. Even I am not sure I can apply for retained of right visa as dont have enough evidence. The best way is i aply for ILR but dont know what the diffrence between permanent visa and ILR. I just want to know which visa I can possibly apply for . Gutted I cannot for ILR. So Permanent visa will be fine ? Anybody had similar case with mine?

if somebody knows about RoR(retained the right of residence). If you have completed 5 years under the EEA regulations, then apply for confirmation of PR.
