Break in 10 years Long Residency

Good Morning Everyone

My apologies, if I am not on the right thread as I am new and need some help.

I came here in UK in 2007 on study visa and did my Masters straight away. after that I applied for 2 years graduate visa (back in January 2009) but visa got rejected due to lack of enough funds in bank account for 90 days. I was short of few pounds for 2 days. At that time, there wasn't any option for Admin review but I was given the option to appeal. I appealed but it took too long for tribunal to respond and I was just wasting time. My solicitor told me to withdraw appeal and apply from home country. I withdrew my appeal and left country and with a week I applied from Pakistan and after few weeks got the visa.

Now, as I left the country for few weeks, my continuous residency period is broken? Am I eligible to apply on 10 years basis, this year?

Any help will be appreciated.

Kind regards

Atif

We would need the precise dates to advise you further.
a) The date your initial study visa finished
b) the date you applied for your PSW visa
c) the date you appealed & the date you withdrew the appeal
d) the date that you reapplied and the date reentered the UK

Hello Secret Simon,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

My initial study visa was for 15 month which expired in December 2008.

I applied for PSW visa well in time and got rejection on 20th of January.

I appealed against this decision on 27th of January but didn't heard anything until July

Withdrew my appeal on 15th of July and left for Pakistan on 19th of July

Appeal documents came back at my home address after I left (formal withdrawal on 27th of July)

Applied for PSW on 29th of July and got my visa after 8 weeks. Flew back to UK within 3 days.

Thanks a lot

Atif
