BRP - NTL Form, caution question

I have indefinite leave to remain status since 1995, and i was born in 1991 in london (and have lived in the uk all my life). my indefinite leave to remain stamp is in an old and expired passport, and therefore i would now like to get a brp card.

however, i have a spent caution from 2 years ago. will this affect my NTL application?

and whilst there isnt a specific question asking me if i have had a caution (like with the conviction questions), do i have to tick "yes" to question 3.10 in the NTL form?

3.10. Have you or any dependants who are applying with you
ever engaged in any other activities which might indicate that
you may not be considered to be persons of good character?
(from the NTL-01-17.pdf form)

thanks,

A caution is unlikely to affect your NTL application. But it's probably on your records. There should be no harm in clicking "yes" and explaining the circumstances.

thanks for the reply vinny,

i am planning to go into a premium service centre, would i be allowed to ask the assistant there what i should select before submitting the application. and is this likely to lead to a delayed decision?

I don't really understand why some people are reluctant to declare somethings that shouldn't affect their application, when their failure to declare may be seriously detrimental.

Hi,

Further to your last message, have you gone for the premium service?. Did anything come up in relation to the caution? Please share experience.

Hello, thanks for your quick reply, can you please give your suggestions on this if you can. See below.

Got indefinate leave to remain in 2011 on the basis of 14 year rule long stay rule.

I applied for citizenship in 2016, refused on the basis of good character ( entering uk unlawfully and working without permission, thats what was stated on the letter) They advice I re - apply in 2021

Am in the process of changing Job, so the whole issue of getting the BRP via an NTL form, as my ILR is on my old expired passport, which I use when i travel in and out of UK, of which I also have a current passport.... I always take 2 passports to travel.

Question is, on the NTL form, there is section 3.10 relating to good character, i.e yes/No. Not sure what to tick, would this have any effect?

Have already booked for the premium service for January 2018

Will appreciate advice or anyone whose had this experience please.
