ILR for dependants after main applicant

Hi,

Could you please help me clarify few things:

I'll be completing my 5 years under Tier 2 General 2-3 months before my dependents. They will have a valid visa for almost a year after I could apply.
- Should I apply first as soon as I'm eligible (28 days before full 5 years) or wait for them to apply together? Does it change anything in their application process?
My thinking is get it over with as soon as possible, and they can do it few months later. But I'm just wondering if this will complicate anything for their application after?
- If my wife and I are eligible for 5 years, can we apply for our underage son, who we brought in just a couple months later while we sorted the rent etc. Just to be clear, we all received visas together, but I entered UK first to start work, then my wife came to help settle things, and we brought our son 2-3 months later.
- Does wife need to have a English test exam, if I receive ILR before her application?
- Anything else to keep in mind if we are not applying at the same time?

Many thanks in advance!

you can apply first, no problem with that.
both of you need english B1 and LIUK to apply.
Once both of u have ilr, u can apply for son ilr. Or son can apply with wife as well, even if he has not been here for 5 years

It's okay for your dependants to apply for ILR after you. You and wife need KoLL.
