Basically I applied for flrm in 2011 on the 5 year route but was rejected, due to her not having the English requirement, so was granted the flro 10 year family route for having children, but she has now come on leaps and bounds and has passed the necessary requirements for IlR, but to wait another 5 years is a bit long, there is no point in me switching to the 5 year route as I have only 5 years left anyway, so was wondering can anybody clarify this for me many thanks

This is the reason for confusion. You are posting as if this is your application and not your wife's as in the extracts from your post above.
When will
your wife qualify for 10 years of legal residence (combining all of her time here in the UK) ?

Sorry about the confusion, new to all this, didn't think it will make a difference, came on spouse visa originally in 2011 for 6 months and then applied for flrm but like I said was refused and given flro 10 year family route in July 2012 renewed in 30 months, now asking can I apply for IlR or do I have to renew again for 30 months

Your wife doesn't yet qualify for ILR. She will have to apply for another extension.

2011 there wasn't a 5 year FLR(M) route. It was a two year route visa and didn't have an English requirement.

Unfortunately, there was an A1
English language requirement for FLR(M) under
284 since 2010.

Thanks, I switched to spouse visa in March 2010 and it wasn't required when I did so maybe later in the year then.
