Hi All,

I left UK after getting my ILR about 3 years ago (i was transferred within my company to NY office) and visited UK tiwce since leaving (last visit to UK was for two weeks less than one and half year ago).

Now I want to move back to UK and I also have a job offer (in a different company). I am not sure if I need to apply for returning resident visa or if I do not need it to return to UK.

Has anybody in similar situation or have some advice?

Thanks in advance, will appriciate the help.
S

ILR was lost after spending 2 years outside of the UK and short visits back won't have retained it.

Regarding applying for entry clearance as a Returning Resident, see the link below and in particular:
SET9.1 Who qualifies?
To qualify to enter the United Kingdom as a returning resident, you must:
have had indefinite leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom when you last left
have not been away from the United Kingdom for more than 2 years
not have received assistance from public funds towards the cost of leaving the United Kingdom
now seek admission for the purpose of settlement
For more information, see paragraph 18 of the Immigration Rules part 1.

The situation of ILR-holders working abroad is not simple or straightforward.
