Hi,
I am a British citizen (previously tier 2 general) and my husband is a tier 2 dependent and living in the UK since April 2013. He is due his ILR next year. I have been offered a position in another EU country and I wanted to check if :
me working/moving abroad will impact his ILR?
will he need to live in the UK till the time he qualifies?
Any guidance is much appreciated
Regards
S

He needs to submit cohabitation proof when applying for ILR
will he need to live in the UK till the time he qualifies?
He needs to be in the UK to apply for ILR. However his ILR status could be lost if he just plans short visits to the UK

Thanks Zimba, does that mean that if I work abroad and if we are able to sumit proof of cohabitation like council tax bills, house deeds and bank statements in joint names that it should be okay
Thanks in advance

Yes but how will you prove you lived together in the UK when you are going to live outside the UK ?

Thanks for the prompt response.
In that case what can we do so that I can do the job and he can still qualify for ILR.
what if I keep base here and come back every week/ 2 weeks. Will that work?
