Change visa to BRP

Ok. My story is brief. I'm an American that moved to the UK in 2005 with my parents. I was given a 2 year leave to remain. In 2007, I was granted ILR. My passport expired at the end of 2016 so I had to switch to the BRP. I applied at the beginning of March and received my biometric letter at the end of March. I did the biometric enrolment the day after I got the letter.

Since that time, I haven't hear anything anything, or received any other letters. It's been just over 5 months since I applied. This doesn't appear to be a normal time limit and now I'm wondering if I should be worried that I've been rejected or they've lost my passport in the post.

You cannot be refused for such service. It is certainly the Home Office usual delays

Thanks for the reassurance. Nothing has changed since I was last granted ILR, except that I'm now over 18 and working, but I was still worried they might reject my application.

this can never be rejected. Its a process of changing from visa sticker to a brp. Just wait and stop worrying.
