ILR route 5y tier 2 visa

Hi,
I have been employed for the same company for 6y. I was initially on PSW tier 1 visa which expired on Feb-2013. I applied for a tier 2 visa, before the expiry of the PSW tier 1 visa. However the tier 2 visa was only issued in May-2013. I could however still work for my employer whist waiting for the tier 2 visa.
My question is, will the 5y be counted from the Feb-2013 or May-2013?
