Hi all

I am a dependent of a Tier 1 entrepreneur main applicant. I have been granted extension on my Tier 1 dependant visa and I complete my 10 years in August 2019.

I have never had a break in my stay in the UK and have adhered to all the visa rules.

My time line is as follows:

Initial Student visa for masters received in Pakistan - 14 August 2009 - January 2011
First entry in to UK - 11 September 2009
Student visa further extension - January 2011 - April 2012
Post study work visa - 24 April 2012 - 23 April 2014
Tier 1 dependent - May 2014 - April 2017
Tier 1 dependent extension - September 2017 - September 2019
10 year ilr long residency completes 14 August 2019.
Can apply 28 days in advance - July 2019

P.S. All other visas apart from initial student visa was applied from within the UK and without any overstay.

Please can the experts advise on whether I can apply for my 10 year long residency as an independent applicant or if I do not qualify based on the fact that I switched to a PBS dependent category in 2014 due to which my time spent in the UK does not count towards the ILR 10 year long residency application.

Possible.
Hi Vinny

Thank you for your response. Please, correct me if I am wrong; however, I understand from your response that I will be eligible to apply for 10 year long residency ILR on my own as an independent applicant based on me completing 10 years without the need to go on the Tier 1 entrepreneur dependent settlement route.

Regards

Aashima

Correct yes. Long residence ILR is a stand a lone individual application not dependent on anyone.
