Break in employment - ILR?

Hello - I become eligible for ILR on 17th November and have a same day appointment for that day. I want to start a new role with a new employer on 20 November - how far in advance can I leave my existing (Tier 2 sponsor) employer? Is this circumstance covered by the 60 day gap in employment?

You need to be employed with your current sponsor to qualify for ILR based on Tier 2 General. You also must submit a letter stating 'the applicant Mr/Ms xyz will be required in ABC position for the foreseeable future', which you obviously won't get if you resign.

Also unlikely that you will have your new BRP by the Monday 20th November IF your application for ILR is successful on Friday 17th.

28 days before completing qualifying period

My initial Tier 2 visa was issued 14 December 2012. What is the earlier date I can have my appointment for ILR - 16 November 2017 or 17 November 2017?

Kindly keep all your questions on the same application in ONE topic (this one).
