English language requirements/Exam for ILR

Hi Gurus & admins,

I have cleared my LIUK test and planning to get the English language requirements out of my way for my ILR application.
1) Seen two qualifications in the same B1 level. GESE Grade 5 pass &ISEI; both from Trinity College and looks like former has only speaking & listening while latter has all 4 (Reading, writing, speaking & listening). Is there any issues if I take the first test for ILR(assuming it is less hassle)
2) I am due to apply ILR in April 2019. Am assuming I don’t need to redo the English test again while applying for naturalisation as it is past 2 year expiry date by 2020. Kindly correct me if I am wrong

PS: This does not exactly fall under ILR category, was a bit confused on where to post it and hence posting it here.

Kindly advice,
Thanks in advance

I would suggest you check nearer to the time you plan to apply in 2019 what the requirements are and who the HO approved test providers are. They do change, often a couple of times a year.

You risk paying £150 for a test now that might well not be accepted or valid at the time you apply for ILR.

Thank you CR001 for the advice. I had no idea that they change the requirements that frequently. I will proceed with the test only by start of 2019 then.

Another query, if it is not too much to ask. I have used English from my childhood (although as a second language), will it be too much trouble for me to clear the usual levels of these exams?

If you can speak and understand English, then the test will not be a difficulty for you. It is not a college course and exam. As you have passed LIUK, you should have no issue with the 10 minute English test.
