Premier Service Eligibility

Hi,

According to the government website,

"If you're applying for settlement, your premium service appointment must be:

at least 48 hours after your Life in the UK test
within 28 days of you completing your qualifying period"

Does that mean that if I have exceeded the 28 days, I will not be able to use the premier service? I would like to apply for SET (O). I am currently still on Tier 2 (which will only expire next October), but I have had 5 years under this visa since last month.

Any advice would be great!

Cheers

That means you can apply using premium service within 28 days of qualifying period i.e 28 days or less, not 28 days or more.

Thanks Bruteforce.

But, is this only for 28 days before the qualifying period or does it apply to after the qualifying period as well.

For example, if the date one has qualified is the 1st of October, does this mean that the applicant has to get the premium service appointment before the 28th of October?

You can book an appointment anytime as long as your existing leave (permission to stay) has not expired.

If you qualify on 28th October but your current leave is valid till 30th December then you can book an appointment anytime after 1st October.
