ILR - T2 General - Pension Scheme Contribution

Hi,

I'm currently on the Tier 2 (General) visa and pay the Taxes and National Insurance (NI) through PAYE.

However, I am opted out from the Pension Contributions and have not been contributing to any Pension Scheme since I joined my employer/sponsor.

Could the Moderators/Experts please advise if contributing to a Pension Scheme is a requirement for ILR?

Many Thanks.

It is within your legal right as an employee to opt out of auto-enrolment and pension. This is not relevant to your visa or ILR

Many Thanks for your reply.

I was concerned if having the Pension Contributions is a mandatory requirement for ILR in the same way as Comprehensive Sickness Insurance (CSI) is a mandatory requirement for EU Nationals.

No. These two are not related at all
