Hi Everyone,
I had few questions regarding Tier-2 General to ILR application and was hoping to get your expert opinion for the same.
1. I am currently in Tier-2 General Visa first issued on 7th Feb 2014 (subsequently extended it in Apr '17) , but joined my sponsor only on 2nd June 2014. So my question is when am I eligible to apply for ILR application? is it 28 days prior to 7th Feb 2019 or 2nd June 2019?
2. What are the current criterias/requirement for Tier-2 to ILR application for main applicant (myself) and dependant applicant (my spouse)? Specifically as my degree was taught in India.
3. What is the maximum number of days that main application and/or dependent can be outside UK? I am asking this questions because my wife is currently planning to travel out of UK for 177 days (on maternity leave), will this have any negative impact on her ILR application?
Your kind response will be highly appreciated as some of these may have big impact on our future ILR application.
Many thanks

Date of visa issue for you.
For your dependat, it is date of entry to the UK

Min salary 35K per annum
LIUK pass certificate
Proof of English language: SELT or UK degree
Recent salary payslip from sponsor
Sponsor Letter
Check the SET(O) form.

Hi Zimba88,
Many thanks for your response, its really helpful to get these valuable information. I just few additional queries that hopefully you can help me with:
1. I along with my wife have been living in UK continously since May '11. Started in Tier-2 ICT and then got Tier-2 General in Feb '14. Does it mean I along with my depandant wife can apply for ILR in Jan '19 together? (provided we both clear LIUK and SELT/UK degree; and Absence requirement is applicable only for myself).
2. If Absence requirement is only applicable for me, I am planning to provide detailed leave tracker for myself for past 5 years. What details should I provide to prove that my wife is in UK continously for past 5 years?
3. My daughter was born in UK in Apr '17 and currently she is in Tier-2 dependant visa valid until Jun '20. So my question is - can we direcly apply for her Naturilisation once myself and my wife get the ILR in Jan '19 or should I have to apply for her ILR depedant visa and then proceed with Naturilisation along with our application a year later?
Thanks once again for your suggestions.
Kind regards,

Yes given that your wife has always been on PBS dependat visa

There is no such requirement for her. You need to submit two years of cohabitation documents only

Yes. But she does not have to naturalise. She can be registered as BC once you get ILR
