I just wanted to check if I can pay using AMEX online or it is allowed only in postal applications. I haved AMEX for my Tier 2 extension but how about ILR PEO applications ?

Its no different. When you book an appointment you pay using the same portal i.e. WorldPay. If I remember correctly it does support AMEX. Try to book an appointment and see if that's supported.
