My dependant applied for ILR through premium service last week. ILR approved.
Received BRP card today showing validity 7 years(till 2024) -- seriously..after charging the application fee 5 times more than few years before but validity only 7yrs instead of 10 yrs ?
Any idea !!!!

Relax!!!

It is the BRP card that will need to be renewed (like a passport or drivers licence). 2024 is the year set by the EU for all Biometric documents to be updated with more advanced security features.

Of course only required if you do not plan on applying for Citizenship.
