PBS (Tier 1 dependent) ILR - Absence Limit proof

Hello,

We will be applying for an ILR for my wife who is a PBS (Tier 1 general) dependent in late January.

Thanks for the update on Immigration boards which suggests that the Absence limits have been reinstated for the PBS dependent applicants.

My wife is well within the limits (in fact less than 90 in any one year period over 5 years) - all absences have been personal in nature, in order to visit family members in India.

Do we need to submit employer letters (current and ex-employers as well) for her application? Or given that she is a PBS dependent, we are not required to submit any employer letter?

Appreciate your kind feedback.

PBS dependents currently DO NOT have any absences limit for ILR :!: This has been repeated hundreds of times on the forum

Hi Zimba,

Thanks for your message but I guess you have missed the Home Office announcement on 7th December 2017, which reinstates the absence limit for PBS dependents.

Appreciate if some one can advise what evidence, if any, do we need to submit for the PBS dependents application for ILR to justify absences outside UK?

Regards,

Zimba is correct. From the link,
To ensure that this requirement does not have retrospective effect, only absences from the UK during periods of leave granted under the rules in place from 11 January 2018 will count towards the 180 days.

Many thanks for the update Vinny & Zimba.

My wife will be applying on Feb 3rd 2018. Glad that you confirmed that this rule doesn't apply to her.
