Tier 2 after ILR withdrawal

Happy new year folks,

I am applying for ILR in first week of jan(peo appointmnt) on a basis of 5 years in tier 2. There are lot of redundancies happening at my work since last 2 months. But my Manager has promised me that my role is safe and company has provided all the necessary reference and absence letter for ilr. Though technically I am safe for now,my intuition tells me tht my role might be in risk in 2018.

Simultaneously, I have got another job who is happy to pay me 40% more and sponsor me by mid of jan with RLMT all done.

So as the situation stands , I am going forward with my ILR as I badly wanted to come out of these visa rules.

Questions are:
1) For some any strange reasons, If my ILR application goes into hold situation (ie further checks required), then would withdrawal of my application at the day of appointment cause any black mark on me because the decision may take days or months.Till then i cant wait confidently with my current sponsor.

2) Is it ok to apply for tier 2 with new sponsor on mid of jan after withdrawal of ilr from PEO Appointnment in Jan first week ...

regards ,
tharuinf

It all depends why the application would be held for further checks. Do you have letter from employer confirming you'll be required for "forseeable future"

Also you have not had any suddent pay rise in last year?

Yes , again it depends but unless its case of deception etc you can apply for Tier 2 but I don't expect any issue as long as you have all the required docs

Tier 2 to ILR is the most straight forward with least docs
