If ILR is refused by the HO, what happens next?

How long do they give you too leave the UK?

In my wife's case, she is applying for ILR and has a British born baby, but the baby doesn't have a passport yet. I mean, she can't leave the UK without taking the baby with her.

Why would her SET(M) application be refused?

She would be able to apply for FLR(FP) if ILR is refused.

I'm just being paranoid as I read they reject applications on technicalities, but good to know there are other options.

I wish we had gone in person but we left it too late and couldn't get an appointment.
