Hi All,

Could someone please clarify if my wife's eligibility for ILR would be broken.

Arrived in UK in May 2014, went to India in August 2017 and will be coming back in April 2018, thats more than 180 days. present visa valid until May 2018.

As per new rules introduced in January 2018 will she be breaking the eligibility for ILR in 2019 or the 180 days count for dependents will be applied only on her new dependent visa which she will be applying along with me in May 2018(I am eligible for ILR in May 2018 under 5 years route).

Thanks,

Bala

There should be no impact. Only absences after her renewal in May will count.
