Hi Vaibhav,
I am due to apply ILR on 1st week of April; Just a quick question (Admins, I am sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, you can, by all means, stop this post ).
My question, When would we need to pay the application fee? will it be when we block the date? or in person on the appointment day?
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Krishna.

If you apply in person you pay online as part of the appointment booking process.
HO no longer take payments on the day of the appointment at the centre.

Thanks for the quick responses.
The below is my scenario, I am trying to understand the application process. Me and two dependants, just want to make sure the application is not rejected after paying nearly 9k.
27th Apr - 5yr around for me.
3rd Apr - (24 days - I am planning to book the appointment)
17th Feb - (45 days prior we can book the appointment for 3Apr and pay the fee; which is technically 69 days to my 5yr round)
Just confused on booking the appointment.
Kind Regards,
Krishna.

Hi Cr001,
I want to have an appointment for 3Apr2018 (my 5yr around on the 27thApr2018).
To have an appointment on 3Apr2018, when should I book the appointment from the UKBA website?
Kind Regards,
Krishna.

You can check availability 42 days in advance, sometimes less like 28 days in advance. Too early to look for appointments now.

Hi Cr001,
Thanks for your time and valuable suggestions. I wanted to understand the path in advance rather leaving it until last minute.
This forum is amazing with great supporters like you.
Thanks again.

ILR application - absences (set O - section 6.2)

by pvenkatkrishna
Hi All,
I have my ILR application premium booked on the 17th Apr 2018; while filling the form, Section 6.2; I need some help with 'Reason for absence' section.
I am applying alone, I have 198 days holidays in 5yrs. I am entitled to 28 holidays/year (including bank holidays) from my employer.
Sr. Exit date Entry date Total Days Description Reason
1 29/08/2013 04/11/2013 68 Annual Leave [20]+work from home (paid)
2 06/11/2014 29/12/2014 54 Annual Leave [20] +work from home (paid)
3 04/06/2015 10/06/2015 7 Annual Leave
4 13/11/2015 28/12/2015 45 Annual Leave [20]+work from home (paid)
5 27/10/2017 20/11/2017 24 Annual Leave
Total Number of Days 198.
however, in my last three visits, I am absent for 68, 54, 45 days (20 days entitled + extra days to work from home option (paid))
how should I write these extra days work from home to 'absent reason' on section 6.2 table of absences?
thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Shiva

Check your calculation - absence 5 should be 23 days not 24. Don’t count days of departure and return.

Hi Cr001,
Sorry for the confusion here, I do appreciate your strict policy.
I have my friend wanted me to check his query! but I had no idea, he did already post the same question on the forum.
With all due respect, my sincere apology! I should have enquired him if he already has a member account.

His entitled holidays are 20 days (plus 8 bank holidays); when he went to India he used to work from home option so his absents are more than 20 days. (please look at the below history)
Is it ok to mention ANNUAL LEAVE + WORK FROM HOME?
Thank you.
Krishna.

Hi GMO,
As mentioned, the above post was for my friend. We both granted ILR recently. From our experience -
Please mention 'Authorised Paid holidays' in the application and the absences letter put on a table with the list of days you are off and employer approved it.
Regards,
Venkata.

Hi GMO,
We have just mentioned 'Authorised Paid holidays'. Our thought was not to give unnecessary attention by writing 'work from home'.
Same mentioned in the 'Absence Letter'.

Venkata

Not sure if admins allow us to share the personal email addresses to share my Absence letter with you.
If they are ok, I have no problem to share personally.
