Hi,

I am also in similar situation. I am trying hard for a new job or extension within my university. Could anyone please help us whether you have got an ILR with just one month of job left while applying for ILR.

I asked my employer for a sample letter if I were to apply without extension on April 2018.

Here is the format I have got today,

"""Dr. XXXXX (date of birth XX – employee no XX) has been employed as a Research Fellow in the Department of XXXXX since 1 May 2015. This is a fixed term position until 30 April 2018. Dr. XXXXX holds a Tier 2 visa for this position (Certificate of Sponsorship no. XXXXXXX).
Dr. XXXXx is paid an annual salary of £XX per annum (XX.XX per hour) for a 36.5 hour week. He is therefore paid above the appropriate rate for the job as stated in the Codes of Practice for Skilled Workers: SOC Code 2119.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact XXXXX, HR Officer for Immigration on telephone number XXXXXXX or email XXXXXx@XXXXXXX.ac.uk.
Yours sincerely,
XXXXXXXXX""""

Do you think this is sufficient if apply for ILR on April 13, 2018.

Cheers,
Raj...

No. Your employer must confirm they need you for the foreseeable future or else ILR cannot be granted
