ILR SET(O) application, Calculating continuous period in UK

Hello,
I first arrived in UK in October 2009 and applied for the ILR in December 2014 which was unsuccessful as i had stayed outside the country for more than 180 days in 2012/2013 for personal/employment reasons.
I was out of the UK from 25/09/12 to 31/03/13 ( Entered UK). But Still was paying Taxes/employed in UK during this period.
My current UK Tier 1 visa is valid till 14/03/2018. So was wondering if I could start the 5 year continuous period for my ILR application from 01/02/2013 to 02/02/2018, Even though i was physically not present in UK till 31/03/2013. Please advice
I passed my Life in UK test in December 2014 , could you also please confirm if the Life in UK pass certificate from December 2014 is still valid and can be used for my ILR application in Feb/March 2018
Thanks and Kind Regards
