Tier4 to Tier2 to ILR

Hi all,

I'll be completing 5 years on a Tier 2 general visa in 2018, having previously moved to Tier 2 after a year as a Tier 4 student back in 2013.

I understand my time on Tier 4 doesn't count towards the 5 years for ILR - correct?

Simple question is - my tier 2 visa was valid from 23/12/2013 although I had already entered the UK more than a year before.

Am I right to say that I'll be eligible to apply from the 23/12/2018 (or 28 days before that) or is there another date I should consider?

Many thanks!
