I need help here, please.
my son will be 7years next year and he is a British born with a British passport. I am due to renew my final 2.5 years before applying for indefinite. my question is can I apply for the ILR when my son turns 7 years to forfeit paying the 2.5 yrs.

I reason this way. if a non- British child who has leave in the UK for 7 years can apply for leave to remain in the UK with parents who have no status on the bases of continual stay for 7years what prevents a parent who has leave legally for 7 years with his or her 7-year-old British child from applying for indefinite leave to remain?

Your opinion and your experience with this will be appreciated

There is no ILR based on your child turning 7 category application.

You need to extend your visa based on the route you are on.

Your previous posts are confusing so not sure how long you have been on the FLR(FP) parent route and what length you are on, 5 or 10 years.

Perhaps the fact that the current Immigration Rules have no such provision.

BTW, you are of course free to apply, just as the Home Office is bound to decline it.
