Hi Experts
I am due to my ILR application soon from Tier 2 General with my wife, so booked in a premium appointment for me and my wife. Our daughter was born in UK with birth certificate issued in 2016 and we had our Tier 2 extension so got her Indian passport and Tier 2 dependent visa along with us.
My question is what is the option for my daughter? I understand that she doesn't need apply for ILR.
She is on Tier 2 dependent valid till June 2018 and I can apply for her passport after getting my ILR ? Please advise.
What is the route and what documents I need?
Thanks in advance

You don't need to apply for ILR for her.
Once you are granted ILR, you can register her as British, which is a separate process before a British passport

Thank you for the response. Even if she got Indian passport? Could you please share more details? I mean under what law of immigration she will be eligible for registration as British? This confusion cropped up when I was filling Set (O) for Pg. 75 under 12A All applicants, it asks for Birth certificat/s of any dependant/s listed in section 2 who were born in the UK. Why would anyone apply for ILR if UK born can register as British and bypass ILR?

Because India doesn't allow dual citizenship as a few other countries so some members would rather do ILR. She wont be able to retain her Indian citizenship.
She qualifies under Section 1(3) of the British nationality act, which is an entitlement to register as British once either parent gets ilr and chikd does not require ILR.
You do not include her in the Set(O) form at all.
