Hi I am looking for some guidance

I am looking to apply for the SET LR, I was wondering after you have applied are you allowed to work even if you haven’t received your official visa?

I’ve spoken to Home office and get multiple answers but I’ve been told your employer can ring home office and you can?

At what point can you start working?

I currently have a visa but it expires in August and due to this 6 month wait im concerned.

Thanks very much

If you could post your immigration history with dates (valid from to expiry dates).

My understanding is, if you make an intime application, once confirmed UKVI has recieved the application (through courier tracking services) your existing leave to remain with its conditions attached will continue to be valid and exist until a decision is made on your application.

If a decision has not been made even after expiry of your current Leave to remain, you will not be an overstayer and will still have valid leave to remain as this will engage section 3C until a decision is made. So if you had permission to work you will still have permission to work even after expiry of yiur current Leave to remain and while your application for ILR is pending a decision so as long it was made(an application for ILR) before the expiry of your current Leave to remain.
