regarding english language certificate from uknaric

I am applying for ILR in few weeks via tier 1 dependant route. For my english language proof i applied to uknaric last month and received a certificate which states the title of my degree from India and then states that the level of English language for above degree course is considered to meet requirements of CEFR level C1

Below this, they have then put a huge paragraph in the certificate itself that states that in addition to this English Language Assessment you may wish to receive UKNARIC certificate of english language assessment for the qualification named. This is entirely optional service and costs 24 pounds plus postage.

Can anyone please help/ shed light on what this next paragraph means and do I really need to apply for this second certificate. How are the two certificates going to be different and how will they impact my ilr application. I do not want to have a problem in a 3000 pound ilr application for not bringing another 30 pound certificate.

Thank you so much

Not required. They will only do a certificate (on better quality paper) for you to display as you might display your degree, but with the same information they stated on the certificate you received already. It is optional, so upto you. But not a requirement of UKVI.

How much did you pay for your NARIC??

Did you do the ELA and the Comparable to UK Bachelor UKVI Red Route costing £150??

Thank you so much for replying.

I paid 59.4 pounds (incl VAT) for this current certificate and 2 pounds postage.

I dont have a statement for comparability of degree. Is the red route 150 pound certificate you are taking about? Is it advisable to have it along? I do not have any other certificates except a letter from my uni stating my course was in English.

Really appreciate your help. :-)
Thank you

You need the ELA and comparable NARIC assessment, UKVI Red Route.

Form Seet(O) clearly states what is required for an overseas degree.
an academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the
recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or
PhD in the United Kingdom and:
˗ UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was
taught or researched in English to the appropriate level

Then you need to apply for Statement for comparability, I reckon that would also cost you similar to your English assessment. Red route isnt necessary, the only benefit of red route is it is quicker with timescales of 10days and it provides statement of comparability and english assessment both which you can order separately under blue route but in 15 days.

Hello everyone,

I am applying for ILR in 2 weeks via tier 1 dependent route.

I had been working in UK since last 3 years. I left my job 25 days before my ILR application date.
I have taken a break but planning to join new place in 2-3 months.
I wont be having a job at the time of application and also no confirmation from a new work place.
But our bank statements up until last month will be showing my income in them.

In the employment section, I am not sure if I should write employed or not. If i do not write employed, how do i explain the income? If i write employed, i dont have any papers to say i am currently employed.

In a bit of dilemma about what is the right thing to write in application... Would really be grateful if someone experienced can guide me about it.

Thank you so much :-)

If you are not employed then you don't complete any current employment details.
