Hi All,

I have received ILR in Mar-2018 through Tier 2 (General) . My spouse is currently on dependent visa, she first entered in the UK on 07-Nov-2016 and dependent visa is going to expire on 09-July-2018

I learned from this forum that she can apply for PBS dependent visa extension anytime before her current visa expires i.e 09-July-2018. However, We are planning to attend family function outside the UK in June-2018.

The question I have is whether she can travel using existing dependent visa and come back to the UK before her visa expiry and then apply for PBS dependent extension or she needs to get the visa extension before travelling outside the UK?

Any help is highly appreciated..

Thanks..

Yes.
or she needs to get the visa extension before travelling outside the UK?
No, but most usually do to avoid difficulties or potential problems.
