Can I apply for ILR with Tier 2 General (3 years) + Tier 1 Entrepreneur(2 years) ?

Hi Esteemed Members of this forum,

I came to the UK on Tier 2 General in 2013.
I switched to Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa in 2016.

I will be completing 5 years in the UK this Summer 2018.

I am getting mixed opinions about my eligibility to apply for ILR this Summer.

One of the solicitors suggested I take a Tier 2 and then apply for ILR.

Would really appreciate if someone could guide me.

Thanks much in advance.

Regards
Vas

No you cannot get ILR under Tier 1E rules as only residence under Tier 1E route counts towards the 5 years.
However under Tier 2 rules, a period of stay under Tier 2 or Tier 1E will count towards ILR. You either must switch to Tier 2G and apply under Tier 2 rules for ILR OR you need 5 years under Tier 1E.
