Good afternoon everyone on this forum.
Please i need advice and suggestions.
Am a non EEA , came to this country with a settlement visa to join parents in 2012 (my Dad and step mother). On getting here they both made an application for me for PR which i wasn't given because i just came so OH gave residence card instead in 2013. My step mother was my sponsor. Since then have been working and living with them until 2016 when myself and step mum had issues and i was forced out of the house. Now its time for me to applying for PR. My step mother refused to support my application even after so much plead.
Now am confused, i don't if to apply through a lawyer for PR or ROR and i dont know what my chances are. Have lived in UK continiously for 5yrs and have been working and i have a son.

Pls i need ur advice and suggestions.

Thank you.

You don't qualify for RoR if you are sponsored under the UK immigration rules.

What exactly does your biometric residence card say as your visa category??

I was sponsored under EU law SS route because my step mother has been to EEA state live and work then back to Uk.
I don't have biometric card. I was given residence Card af an EEA national. This was stamped on my passport with employment and business activities allowed written on it.

For both, you need the supporting documents and ID of the sponsor, so not sure how you are going to do this given that your stepmother is not willing to support you.

I don't understand how your father got ILR, as you state, but you did not if you had a settlement visa.

My father got ILR through SS route of my step mum being his sponsor at that time and his five year was completed when my application was made so we submitted together. But he is now British. Sorry i was given 2yrs visa to join parents then not settlement . Then on getting to uk we made application and i was given RC using SS route.

Now i know i needed my sponsor's ID but was just thinking if my case can be treated like family member with Divorce who still get PR even without their sponsor's ID.
So my solicitor isn't sure weather to apply for ROR or PR straight considering that have live contiously for 5yrs and bin working.

Thank you
Awaiting ur reply .
