Hi Everyone

I have a few questions re: ILR from Tier 2 General route.

A bit of background:

1. I have been employed with the same employer on a FT basis. My Tier 2 visa was issued on 30th June 2013, and I entered UK on 14th July 2013. Am I correct in understanding that I can apply for ILR anytime from 3rd June 2018 onwards?
2. During the initial application, and subsequent successful issue of Tier 2 Gen Visa, I submitted an IELTS certificate with a score of 8.5 out of 9. Do I need to give an English language test again or will the previous certification suffice?
3. Can someone please provide a list of documents that I need to submit. ILR application will be for me and my spouse. Both of us are working Full time.
4. We plan to sir for LIT UK test soon. I'm aware my spouse needs to sit for English language test as well.
5. Any other things/points I should be aware of?

I would much appreciate any other suggestions.

I need some advice regarding ENG language requirement for an upcoming ILR application on Tier 2 General route.

I'd cleared an IELTS exam in May 2013 whilst applying for permission to enter on a Tier 2 Gen Visa, which was duly accepted by the UKVI and visa was issued in June 2013. I've also had continuous leave to remain since then. This certification has obviously run out since then, as it is valid for a period of 2 years only.

I'm aware that expired certification(s) can be used in ILR applications even if they've expired as long as they were used in a previous application (and continuous residence since), and the provider is still on the approved list.

This test was through British Council in India, and has a logo of 'University of Cambridge ESOL examinations' at the bottom. I do have the original certificate and the test is also verifiable online.

Please note the centre I gave the exam at no longer exists (I assume British Council now has a different exam centre in New Delhi).

Can someone please advise if this certification is still ok to use and if Cambridge ESOL is still on the approved list?

Just check if it is still in the approved centre list right now, if not you cannot use. Take the other exam and that's it.

I did check with the solicitor appointed by my employer and they advised the test result is now invalid.

I took an exam with Trinity SELT and cleared it with an AA so its all sorted now.

I'm applying for the ILR next month at Croydon PSC, and currently finalising all the documentation.

I do travel a fair bit outside the UK for my job, and hence have a detailed record of absences for the last 5 years, created in an excel sheet, with 'triggers' for any cumulative absences of more than 180 days in any 12 month period. None of the absences exceed 180 days so that's all well and good.

Considering my travel is very frequent, its almost 150 rows in an excel sheet. Do I need to just take a print of this and attach with the application, OR do I also need a covering letter detailing all the absences (95% of them are work related, rest are holidays) from my employer, on the letterhead as well? Could someone please advise.

Lastly, I'm including the following documents with the application. Is there something I'm missing?

1. Original Signed pages of SET(O) form
2. All passports - Self and Spouse
3. Tier 2 BRPs
4. Two photographs of each applicant with names written on the back
5. Employer support letter
6. Original endorsed payslips for the last 3 months;
7. Original endorsed bank statements for the last 3 months
8. Original P60s for the last 5 years as well as a 5 year tax history from HMRC
9. Original Life in the UK Test Certificates
10. Original marriage certificate
11. Evidence of English Language;
12. Completed schedule of absences
13. Proof of cohabitation - Six letters (official correspondence) covering the past 2 years
