Cancelling indefinite leave to remain premium service centre appointment

Hi all,
I have previously booked and filled out my information online for a Set (M) appointment as I initially thought this was the correct form for me to extend my spouse visa for the second stage of limited leave to remain of 2.5 years.
However, I came to discover that I have made a huge mistake and I should of filled out the FLR (M) form instead of the Set (M) form and I have already paid my application fee of £2999 when it should only be £1033 for the limited leave to remain.
Does anyone know if it would it be possible for me to cancel the appointment at the premium service centre and refund the £2999 so that I can re-book my limited leave to remain form instead and if so, how do I cancel it? I have signed in and looked everywhere on the website and I cannot find a way to cancel my appointment.
At this moment I have emailed the email address
PSCAppointmentRefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk for refund but I have a feeling that they will take more than 10 working days to get back to me and I need to either book an appointment or post my application before 30/07.
Would be grateful if anyone could help
Thanks!

What date is your current appointment?
Refunds can take a few weeks.
Did you complete the online set m form as well?? This will complicate matters a bit. See link below.

Hi CR001,
My current appointment is 27/07 and I am looking to cancel that but unsure where to click or who I would contact. I am also wondering if they would issue me with a full refund of £2999 as this is a very large sum for me.
Thanks!

Is set m form the part which I have filled out a form online with all the information and booked an appointment at the premium service centre? If that is the case I think I have.

SET M is the application form and would contain all the details, absences and financial requirements etc. If you completed that and submitted, I think you might have a problem.
If you only completed the form with minimal details to book an appointment, you should be able to cancel it but Refunds can take a while.

I completed the entire form online then proceeded to the payment section and paid for my fee. After that I was asked to select my date and time for the premium service centre appointment. At the moment looking online I cannot locate where I can cancel my appointment, seemingly I can only change my date/time/location. Do you have any idea how I can cancel please?

You realise if you completed the whole visa application form that you completed, you might lose the entire fee you have paid.
I am still not clear exactly what you completed online. The Set m form is extensive. The booking appointment only is not.

Is the money taken from your account? by debit or credit card?
If you can contact the bank to stop the payment immediately, your wrong application will become invalid because the fee has not been paid.

If money has been taken, you can only vary your application back to the correct one. you cannot get refund but you dont need to pay again for FLR

Hi min411,
If you have completed full SET(M) form than you must have completed section Financial Requirements questions meeting £18600 per annum ? If not than you have only booked PSC appointment and paid fees ?
2- if you have actually completed full SET(M) form than you can Vary your existing application by filling again FLR(M) online form after paying again correct fees , than reschedule your PSC appointment to get early appointment if needed but within 28 days of expiring existing LTR and explain in application you are varying your existing Indefinite LTR application. If valid variation application is accepted the the fees paid £2999 will be refunded .

If the applicant wishes to vary the purpose of their application, they must complete
the specified form and meet all the requirements of paragraph 34 of the Immigration
Rules for the variation to be valid.
If an applicant writes to request a variation of an application but does not submit an
application form, you should write back to them confirming that they must complete a
specified form and tell them which form to use.
When an applicant varies their application they do not have to pay an additional fee
unless the new application has a higher fee. If this is the case, when the applications
are made online, the applicant will have paid 2 fees and you must refund the
difference.

Hi bluebird12,
Unfortunately I have completed full SET(M) form online and have proceeded for booking an appointment.
I think what you have suggested is a very good advice, I will look into booking an earlier appointment for my limited leave to remain and explain my situation there. Do you think I should communicate that across on the day of my new appointment or should I put my point of view across in an email to
PSCAppointmentRefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk ?
Many thanks.

Many thanks for the information. I am going request a variation of an application. Do you think I should let the immigration adviser know about this on the day of my appointment or should I email
PSCAppointmentRefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk ?

Hi CR001,
Unfortunately I believe I have completed the full Set (M) form online. Looking at all the responses above, I am going to try to request a variation of application by booking an appointment earlier than 27/07 and hand in my limited leave to remain form then see where it goes from there. Hopefully I will be able to reclaim my previous application fee back.

If you send e.mail at that address UKVI might think that you want to cancel/withdraw your application and in that situation you could loose your fees. Best thing is to apply for Variation of LTR.
