ILR for Spouse, Passport for Kids (Not born in UK)

Dear Community,

I got my British Passport in March 2018 via PBS Tier 1 general route. My wife and kids (Not Born in the UK) are still on Tier 1 Dependent (valid until Jan-2019) and will qualify for ILR this month. Can I only apply ILR for my Wife and directly apply for my Kids passport (once wife gets her ILR approved) as I am a Citizen ?

Does it work that way? Obviously, I am trying to avoid to pay the exorbitant visa fee for my kids. Any recommendations how to get away with this pls?

Many Thanks for your kind response.
SK.

No.

No it does not work that way. Children born abroad are expected to hold ILR to qualify for citizenship on form MN1, which is an application at discretion.
