Hi,

My husband's passport was sent in to the home office for set lr since April 2018. the passport expires December 2018. bearing in mind that the home office require passport with 6 month validity, can I apply and renew my passport with my embassy, then send UKBA my renewed passpprt? is this okay?

Where does it say the passport must be valid for at least 6 months when applying for ILR??

It must be valid at time of application, not x amount of months validity
