What if we fail Life in the UK?

Hello all, i hope you're all well. I have a question and i hope someone with good immigration knowledge can somehow answer it. My wife is about to apply for her ILR. We're going to apply sometimes in October. She hasn't had her Life in the UK test yet and we have a booked date for the 13th of September (That was the earliest date possible). What if she fails her test? What happens with the application? Can she apply for an extension instead of ILR if you're not ready? I hope she passes her test but not sure what we're going to do if she fails. I would appreciate any answer that will follow this post.

She can re-book test after 7 days of fail(if) before the test she can pass some mock test below this website.

Yes she can apply for an extension of her current visa category.

Yes, provided she meets the requirements of the extension application.

Worth noting that an ILR application without a LITUK certificate will not be converted into an extension application automatically. That would have to be a separate application.

EDIT: Overtaken by CR001. I really must be faster :D

That is impressive. I can't compete with that.

Thanks all for your replies. Are much appreciated. It's good to know that we have another alternative if we do not pass the test. Does anyone know what form we need for an extension? She's on a 5 year route and this is her seconds visa leading to ILR. Thanks again all.

if her last extension was on FLR(M) spouse visa, then she applies on the same form.

If her last 5 years was a PBS dependent visa, then she extends on that form.

You don't state your immigration history hence stating both options above.

I do apologize for not being clear. My wife is on a spouse visa 5 year route. She got her first visa in Albania in 2013 the the second visa here in the UK. I'm not sure which form we submitted for her second visa but i believe it was the FLR(M) form. Thanks for your very helpful reply.
As far as other requirements we're fine. We both work and earn between us around 42k a year. We have our own house and never been in trouble with the law. Our marriage is genuine and we have a child who's two and a half year old. The past applications have all been fine. Thanks again

The good news is that you can re-take the Life in the UK test as many times as you need until you pass. (Although, you will have to pay £50 each time to re-take it.) But you MUST pass it, as the pass certificate is part of the required documentation when you apply for ILR/Settlement. :D
