Englist test to apply ILR

Hi,
I am in UK on Tier 2 General dependent visa since 2014. I will get eligibility to apply for ILR in April 2019. I have studied 12+ in India and I have been advised by friends that I need to take English test and life in UK test to apply for ILR? Is that true? If yes, can someone help to find the correct information about what tests I need to take with web links? Many thanks in advance.
