Hi,

I came here as a student way back December 2010 till late 2015 with an award in ILM level 6 in Heath Care Management, My fianceé then my wife now arrived just before my student visa end and got married and became as her dependent. We are both renewing our visa early next year her as Tier 2 General Working Visa as Nurse and Me as her dependant with our son. My question is does living in the UK for more than 5 years now qualifies me to apply for ILR category? Thank you for your response.

Regards,

Not yet as your immigration clock was reset to zero when you switched from your Tier 4 visa to a Tier 2 Dependent. You will qualify for ILR under the 10 year long residence route in December 2020 when all legal residence in the UK will be counted.

This is unless you have completed 5 years under your current visa category in 2020 before reaching the 10 year qualifying date.
