Tier 2 visa dependent for ilr earnings requirement

Good day,

I will be applying for ilr on december 2017 since i would have been 5 years in jan 2018 (28 days before 5th year). Since my wife came to the uk on july 2013 as a tier 2 general dependent, she needs to have stayed for 5 years for her to apply for ilr and she cannot apply for ilr with me right? Her tier 2 dependent visa is valid until jan 2019. If that is the case, can she just wait for july 2018 and apply for ilr or does she need to change her visa if i get my ilr? Does she also need to be earning 35,000 before she can apply for ilr?

Can my uk born son also register to be a uk citizen togother with me as i apply for ilr or do i need to get my ilr first before he can register as a uk citizen? Thanks.

Regards,
Aubbzz

Your wife will have to wait to be eligible for ILR under PBS route, no need to change the visa.
Your son can be registered for citizenship when you get ILR.

ILR application for Tier 2 dependants

Good day,

My wife will be applying for her ilr via tier 2 dependent visa. After completing section 6, does she need a letter from her current and previous employers about her absences?
Does she still need to get a letter fron her current employer that she is still needed for the forseeable future? And does she need to provide payslips? Will 3 months bank statements suffice or better to provide 6? Thanks.

Regards,
Aubrey

No. This is NOT relevant to tier 2 dependents.

3 months payslips and bank statements, Yours or Hers, to prove you can support yourselves.

ielts academic exam for ilr application

Good day,

My wife took her ielts academic exam last dec 2016. She will be applying for her ilr this november so it is still valid because its less than 2 years. Question is, will it be accepted or does she need to take the ielts ukvi or life skills again? Hopefully they will accept it because the academic exam is a lot more difficult and has a higher passing score. Thank you very much.
