Ancestry to ILR: Birth Certificates

Hello Everyone,

I'm wondering if someone could help me.

My Husband and I are applying for ILR from South African Ancestry very soon. My Husband has misplaced his Birth Certificate! I have mine, our marriage certificate even death certificates of certain relatives but not his!

As we've already applied for Ancestry and supplied all those documents, are they requested again? Do you need to supply your birth certificate, as well as the relatives birth certificate too?

Many thanks for all your help!

Shannon

Are you both on your own visas or is one of you a dependent ancestry visa holder.? Your post isn't clear.

P. S. Kindly refrain from posting your full name at the end of a post for your own privacy and safety. The forum is very public, comes up in name Google searches and our forum is visited by many scammers and scammers.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I'm a dependant on my husbands Ancestral Visa.

We've gone through the online application but it doesn't request any Birth Certificates. I've contacted the South African Embassy but it could take 6 months for the birth certificate.

Thank you for the advice! I'll keep that in mind.

Members have recently reported that birth certs etc are not required to submit with the ILR application.
