Work contract expires 3 months after ILR eligibility

Hello

SUB: Tier 2 -> ILR (5 year route)

I was wondering if I could get some advice, please?

I've recently extended by tier 2 visa (initially granted in Oct 2015 for 3 years, now extended by a further 2.25 years). I should be eligible for ILR by September 2020. However, my contract of employment is set to finish by mid-December 2020 (extending beyond this is not an option as I'm a speciality doctor and I am due to finish training in Dec 2020). I would have no issues with absence/minimum income/SOC payment/English requirement/life in UK etc.

My question is- if my contract is finishing a few months after eligibility for ILR, and my employer states that I am employed from 'October 2015 to December 2020' (rather than 'foreseeable future'), would this be an issue for my ILR application?

Thank you in advance.

You need the "required for the foreseeable future" in the supporting letter. I will suggest you look for another job/sponsor before your qualification date.

Hello

Just another question.

If I can get a letter from my supervisor/consultant or training program director that I will be required as a 'doctor' in the UK for the foreseeable future, would that do (My present role is a 'speciality trainee doctor')? Or does it have to be HR who does the letter for validity? Technically I won't be a speciality trainee doctor after December 2020 but a fully qualified doctor in a very in-demand speciality (but not on the shortage occupation list)

I found no obv reference to who writes the letter.

Thank you in advance

it could be written as "his/her services will be required for the foreseeable future". It will be better if the letter is written by the same person that has been handling your visa i.e Authorised person or Level 1 user in charge of your sms. if another manager is writing the letter, I am not entirely sure if the manager has to be from HR or other departments)
