Hi Members,
I brought a bit confusing question to ask. I got the PR in 2015 (through EEA route, via "retained the right of residence" after divorce). Few months after I got a baby from my new Non-EEA spouse in non-EEA country. Next year in 2016, they came into the UK after as family members of UK Permanent-Resident on 5 years route. Same year (2016) I got the British Citizenship as well.

Now after two and half years, i'm about the apply for their extensions for another two and half years resident permit.

My one friend said that you don't need to do the 5 years route for your child, the child can get ILR/Registration straightway, instead of extension of two and half years. It's only my wife, who has to complete 5 years route to apply for the ILR. Could you people please tell me , that is it True?

I look forward for your help. Thanks

Unfortunately, it's not normally true for a child born outside the UK.
