Hi All,

I am gong to apply for ILR under tier 2 five years route. I need some clarification for the Ielts test requirements.

I had my last ielts test done in 2015, which is not valid any more. But that test was done from a recognized UKVI IELTS test centre and was approved for my last tier 2 visa application in 2015.

can I still use the same test for my ILR application or do I need to give a new one. Your advise in this matter would be highly appreciable.

Many Thanks

My understanding is your IELTS does not expire for proof of English for ILR purpose.

Thanks for your reply,
I just wanted some confirmation, if someone has used an expired IELTS for the ILR application

Do some research - you can find a lot of confirmation. I remember reading someone here using the expired IELTS and it's fine.

Expired IELTs certificates
You may still be able to use this if it has been used in the past, for example, with your last leave to remain application or previous Indefinite Leave to Remain application (and it’s at level B1).
