What options if partner not eligible for ILR/FLR(M)? Family has ILR

Hi
I was hoping someone could give me some advice. My daughter and I have recently been granted ILR on the grounds of long residence 10 years (was previously on Tier 4) and I have also applied for my UK born child for citizenship. We are not sure if my husband meets the eligibility criteria as he doesn't have his old passport and is trying to find records of his travels as he thinks he may be close to the 540 limit.
If it turns out that he doesn't meet the criteria for SET(LR) what other options do we have? I only know of FLR(M) but by the time his visa expires we won't have met the financial requirement for 6 months only 4 months. So we won't be able to apply for that. Are there any other options for him?

Many thanks

FLR(FP) would be possibly the route to go for if he cannot apply under SET(LR)
