Hello there,

I came to England in 2008, in tier 4 student visa, again after expiry obtained one more student visa. When it expired in 2011 applied for psw, which was rejected as invalid couple of times. First time they took the fees and then later only returned it, second time issue with photo and the solicitor didn’t put it in with the application, the third time applied with all and got it in aug 2012, which was clearly six months after my last visa expiry. I only know about my photo issue when applied for SAR in 2017, the solicitor lied and said he couldn’t find me as HO mailed them asking for 2 photos of mine to contuinue the application (second one ). He probably was buying the time as my results from uni were not then. But all without telling me. After psw got workpermit and it was later curtailed by HO. I had then to request for curtailment letter as I didn’t receive while others got it, I moved away from the previous house too. Applied flr during the curtailment period and , months after again HO send a letter saying that I had been given a chance to submit biometric and I didn’t, my new solicitors didn’t receive it, they are a firm , they don’t need to lie and I was constantly in contact with them . applied in the given timescale for flr , which was rejected as no grounds, when the NHS surcharge came to my account only I knew it and nothing was sent to the solicitor too, but we quickly applied for Flr(lr) not wasting anytime as 1 was just days short of my 10 year mark and no life in uk test results. When I got the SAR results only I knew they took a decision and didn’t inform us, solicitors said its their mistake only, that’s is no a worry but the pervious invalid things could affect me , the one in 2012, what you have to say, am I getting the residentship or not, PLEASE HELP

You do not seem to have continuous leave for 10 years so your long residence will be affected.

That is not how the rules work and just because you never left the UK you will not be eligible automatically. Your have large period of unlawful stay which breaks your continuous period. Also solicitor mistake is not an excuse, you use their services at your own risk
